Is there anything else I need to sign on race day?
As a matter of fact...Yes! All athletes MUST sign a USARA Waiver. These waivers are NOT on the website and we do not mail these to athletes. EVERYONE will be signing on race day.
What should I wear?
There's no way around it - you'll be filthy when you finish. Wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty. We highly recommend good, solid running shoes too. There will be hoses to rinse off after the race, but we'd also recommend a towel or bag to sit on for the drive home!
I'm not in good shape. Can I do this?
This race is tough but it is more mind over matter than being in great shape.
Is the Hoppin safe?
There's certainly risk involved, but we take every precaution possible to get you to the finish line safely. There will be paramedics and an ambulance on site in case of an emergency.
When is the post-race party?
Beer will be served from 1 hour after the start of the first wave until three hours after the start of the final wave.
What if it rains?
Game on!
Will there be water along the way?
Yes. There will be several water stations on the course to keep you hydrated.
How long is the course?
The Hoppin course is 6.2 miles.
What's chip timing?

Packet pick-up will include the team captain's timing chip and 5 bibs, as well as pins.
Can I pickup my teams packet?
As team captain you can pick up YOUR bib and timing chip, but the rest of the team members will have to come and get their race bibs themselves. This is to make sure that ALL athletes sign the USARA waiver, all team members must also show their ID only.
